Research Interest
I am a pediatric epileptologist and Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. I serve as the Medical Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and the Clinical High-Density EEG Program at Kennedy Krieger.
My first research focus is improving noninvasive localization of the epileptogenic zone in children with drug-resistant focal epilepsy, using EEG source imaging and quantitative neurophysiology to refine presurgical evaluation and develop more specific biomarkers of the epileptogenic zone. A second area of interest is developing clinically actionable EEG-based biomarkers for pediatric epilepsy and related neurodevelopmental disorders, aimed at earlier epilepsy risk prediction and more precise treatment stratification to improve long-term outcomes.
